"Chicken wings are perfect when you want to grill (on an actual BBQ or in the oven) something simple and delicious for a crowd. They are forgiving in that they are hard to overcook. In this recipe, we made a quick marinade to ensure they’re seasoned inside and out. The soy sauce adds both a nice golden brown color and an umami touch, balanced with honey and lime. Remember to put aside some of the marinade for brushing on right before serving."

Add the chicken wings to the marinade. Let marinate for at least 30 min. or up to 6 hrs. in the fridge. When ready for the next step, set the oven to 220°C/430°F. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

  • Step 3/4

Roast wings in the oven for 20–25 min., flipping once halfway through. Once the wings have a dark golden brown color, and the juice runs clear when poked with a knife, they are ready. If you want more color, turn on the grilling function for a few minutes, but watch closely so they don’t burn. In the meantime, toast some sesame seeds for serving.
