Colorful braided yeast bread

- 45 ml milk
- 10½ g fresh yeast
- 125 g flour
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 20 g sugar
- 25 g butter (soft)
- ½ egg
- flour for dusting

Warm milk in a small saucepan over low heat, remove from heat, add yeast, and stir to combine. Mix together with flour, salt, sugar, butter, and egg in a large mixing bowl until a dough forms. Knead dough on a floured work surface for approx. 3 – 4 min., or until smooth and elastic.

Divide dough into three equal portions and dye with desired food coloring. Transfer dough portions to a baking sheet. Transfer to oven and select the automatic program "cake / yeast dough” for 15 min.

Roll out each piece of dough into 30-cm/12-in. long portions. Braid dough, then lay the loaf across the baking sheet.

Transfer to oven and select the automatic program “cake / yeast dough” for 15 min. Run program to let rise.

Start the automatic program to “bread / braided yeast dough” and bake for approx. 20 min. Enjoy!
