Last week we asked you to send us photographs of food served on skewers or with (chop)sticks. Kebabs come to mind as the most obvious dish commonly served on a skewer, yet your images show a far more creative use of the little wooden picks. Some used decorative umbrellas to add that holiday feel to their cupcakes, whereas others threaded their meat and vegetables onto long bamboo skewers in a more traditional fashion. Your tasty bowls of Asian-inspired soups and salads, served with chopsticks of course, made our mouths water. Here are your pretty pictures:
Best Served in Bowls
Bowls have been around for so long that we take them for granted today. While the Ancient Greek have discovered that it’s easier to eat certain food out of a bowl, we’re convinced that some dishes simply taste better when served in a pretty bowl. Think of the most fragrant soup served in a simple wooden bowl, a sophisticatedly artful ceramic bowl full of gorgeous tea, or a colorful melamine bowl filled of fruit punch. Whatever your repertoire, we would love to see what you serve in your bowls.
