Heat up some vegetable oil over medium heat.
Peel the onions and slice them into fine rings.
Mix together the corn starch and the flour. Season with salt and mix thoroughly. Dredge onions lightly in flour and starch mixture. Place onion rings in hot oil and fry them until they are golden brown.
Place onions on a paper towel-lined plate to dry remove excess fat and dry them. Season with salt. Enjoy as a condiment for burgers and hot dogs.
