Cut off ends of pineapple and then stand it upright. Slice the peel off and then cut pineapple into quarters. Remove the core and then cut for serving as desired.
The easiest way to determine if a pineapple is ripe is to smell the bottom. This is where the highest concentration of sugar is and it will smell very fragrant when ripe! Be careful, though. If the bottom smells at all like vinegar that means it’s overripe.
