  • 20 ml water
  • 3 fresh yeast
  • plastic wrap
  • small bowl

Measure out flour. Mix yeast with water. Incorporate flour. Let sit for at least 5 days at room temperature before transferring to a covered container.

Step 2/2

To keep your starter alive for continued use, you’ll need to continue to feed it with water and flour in equal parts. It takes time and care, but it’s worth it for the sake of making homemade breads.
