Sweet tooth's favorite

This Latin-American sweet treat is easy to made and will impress your guests every single time you serve it. Of course, you can eat it as spread on a slice of bread, but you could also use it as filling for cookies, cakes and muffins. Try it also with pancakes, waffles and ice cream for your next sweet breakfast. There are endless opportunities to serve and enjoy it.

Step 2/4

  • 1 lemon
  • citrus juicer

Juice lemon with a citrus juicer and set aside.

Step 3/4

  • 400 ml cream
  • 600 ml milk
  • 400 sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • large saucepan
  • whisk

Add cream to a large saucepan. Then add milk, lemon juice, sugar and vanilla sugar and whisk until the sugar dissolves. Bring the mix to a simmer over medium-low heat and stir occasionally to avoid burning. Continue to simmer until the mix is amber colored.
