Homemade burgers is the best if you have a bbq with family and friends. Everybody can create their own burgers and these buns are soft and just waiting for your filling! You can use that recipe also for your favorite hot dogs.
Add the flour to the bowl of the stand mixer. Add the sugar and salt. Beat to combine the ingredients.
Gradually heat the milk in a small saucepan. Whisk in the dry yeast. Be careful not to overheat the milk.
Add the water to the flour and beat to combine. Add milk to the flour and knead to combine. Lightly flour a clean bowl and transfer the dough to the bowl. Cover it with a kitchen towel. Set aside to rise for approx. 2 hours.
Lightly flour the work surface. Knead the dough by hand. Cut into pieces of the same size. Form round buns. Grease baking sheet. Then line with baking paper. Lightly flour the baking paper and place buns onto the baking sheet. Cover again and allow to rise for approx. 30 min. Separate an egg and brush burger buns with egg white. Sprinkle the buns with sesame seeds. Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake at 180°C / 350°F for approx. 12 min.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Enjoy with your favorite filling.
