"Strong and bitter meet sweet and smooth. If you like strong contrasts, a Negroni is just the thing for you. The Negroni, which is equal parts gin, vermouth and Campari, is said to have been invented by Count Camillo Negroni in 1919 when he asked a bartender to swap the soda water in his Americano for gin. Although it's often served as an aperitif, it's a strong drink that's great for finishing off a meal. You can also swap the gin for bourbon to make a boulevardier or try mezcal for a smoky note."
